Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a teenage batting prodigy from India’s under-19 cricket set-up whose explosive performances have made him one of the brightest young talents in world youth cricket.
Born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Bihar, the left-handed batter began playing the game at a very young age and moved swiftly through age-group cricket with a series of eye-catching innings.

The Asia Cup innings was not an isolated burst. Earlier in the year, on an India under-19 tour of England, Sooryavanshi hammered a 20-ball half-century, becoming the second-fastest Indian under-19 batter to reach fifty, narrowly behind Rishabh Pant’s 18-ball effort.
That tour cemented his place in the side and earned him selection for further assignments, including a multi-format series in Australia where he retained his spot after strong showings against England’s youth attack.
