Amarjeet Sinha resigns as advisor to PM Modi

Amarjeet Sinha, advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), has resigned from his post.

A retired IAS officer of 1983 batch from Bihar, Sinha, who superannuated as secretary from the Government of India in 2019, was appointed in the PMO in February 2020. He was tasked with handling social sector-related subjects.

Top sources confirmed his resignation without citing any reason. “He resigned from the post and July 31 was the last day,” newspaper The Hindu quoted a senior official as having said.
