
Jeová Carmo da Silva – a Nursing Technician at Maternidade Municipal MãeEsperança, Porto Velho, Brazil – passed away on 13 May 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Silva was 48 years old.
The information on the death was confirmed in a note by the Municipal Health Secretariat (Semusa). The professional was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital.
The server worked since 2015 at the Maternidade Municipal Mãe Esperança and was on the front lines against the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus in the capital. Semusa did not go into more detail about the case of Jehovah Carmo.
In a note, the Municipal Health Secretariat lamented the death of the nursing technician, reiterating that “for co-workers”, Jehovah was “a unique human being with an incomparable greatness of soul and heart”.
