Óscar Raúl Miranda Martino – a General Surgery, Hospital Director, Politician at Hospital Regional Cayetano Heredia, Piura, Peru – passed away on 12 May 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Oscar was 73 years old.
During his lifetime he held various positions, including director of the Cayetano Heredia de Piura Regional Hospital, later he participated in politics, first becoming councilor of the Provincial Municipality of Piura in the last government of Don José Aguilar Santisteban, subsequently postulating the highest position in the movement of Don Javier Atkins Lerggios, coming in second place; 4 years later he managed to be elected in the Northern Democratic Unit.
