Sergio Bretado Rodríguez – an Ambulance Driver at IMSS, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico – passed away due to COVID-19. It was reported on May 15, 2020.
Sergio was an ambulance operator at the Mexican Social Security Institute (Imss) and constantly had to assist in the transfer of patients from Covid-19, until he became infected.
His colleagues, in addition to lighting the ambulance sirens, gave Sergio a minute of applause, as they point out that, despite being aware of the risks, he never limited himself to helping all patients, regardless of the illness have.
Dozens of vehicles paraded in front of the coffin and its crew expressed their sadness at the death of Bretado Rodríguez.
