Mosammat Sania Aktar, Judicial Magistrate

Senior Judicial Magistrate of Jhalokathi district in southern Bangladesh Mosammat Sania Aktar has died of Covid-19.

According to report published in Dhaka Tribune, the 28-year-old breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) in Barisal at around 10:30am on Wednesday. Sania, who was also seven months pregnant, tested positive for the deadly virus on July 12.

Sania was born on August 1, 1992, in Hoglakanda village under Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj.  She joined the judicial services on March 1, 2018, through the 10th Bangladesh Judicial Service Examination.

It said that the deceased’s husband, AHM Imranur Rahman, who is working as a senior judicial magistrate in the same district, has also tested Covid positive.

“My father-in-law’s house is in Narayanganj. Sania will be buried at her family graveyard there following her Namaz-e-Janaza,” Bangla Tribune quoting AHM Imranur Rahman as having said.
