Kannada Actor Dies By Suicide

Kannada actor Soujanya was found dead in her apartment on Thursday in Kumbalgodu, Bengaluru. She had left a suicide note, signed Savi Madappa; her real name — mentioning problems with her mental health, and her deteriorating condition while seeking forgiveness from her family and friends. The 25-year-old also expressed her love for them and held herself accountable for taking the extreme step; unable to cope with her health conditions.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ramnagar, Girish, stated that the police were informed about the death around 11 am on Thursday and they had gone to the scene immediately and recovered the note. Soujanya was a native of Kushalnagar in the Kodagu district and she had shifted for work; she was living alone in the apartment for a year and a half. Precursory investigations by the police suggest it was a case of death by suicide.

The actor was known for her work in Kannada cinema and had starred in multiple TV shows and films including Chaukattu Fun, Real, Real-2, she’s also associated with the comedy romance Nanobben Olleyvnu.
