Fabiana Zopelli, Schoolgirl A 12-year-old girl who 'was a friend to everyone' and 'had a smile that lit up every room she entered' passed away just days following the development of complications linked to Covid-19, an inquest heard.  Fabiana Zoppelli, who had the rare genetic disorder floating-harbor syndrome, contracted a 'minor cough' on June 1 before falling seriously ill with the virus last year. The schoolgirl's mother, Itohan Ehiggie had called doctors on June 3 after Fabiana developed a rash and started vomiting and she was taken to the A&E department at the Royal Oldham Hospital. Urdu writer and Calligraphy expert M.A. Momin passed away in Hubballi on June 27 following COVID-19 related complications. He was 72. Momin -- a recipient of the Karnataka Urdu Academy award – was renowned for his Nizamat or anchoring Urdu Shayari sessions across North Karnataka districts.  Besides frequently organizing Urdu learning training courses for non-native Urdu speakers, Momin used to also conduct calligraphy training sessions for school and college students.  He was also an active member of Idara Farogh-e-Urdu Hubli, a literary organisation.

Brian Kemp said in a post on Twitter that he, first lady Marty Kemp and their daughters “are praying for the loved ones, colleagues, and community” of Ivester following his death. The pandemic has spread less severely in North Georgia, except in the Habersham County area, where the college is located, according to state Department of Public Health data assembled by the AJC. According to the Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Ivester, 57, died Saturday at Northeast Georgia Health System’s hospital in Braselton. He became ill on Aug. 5, was hospitalized on Aug. 16, and spent a month in intensive care, according to the website Nowhabersham.com.

He is believed to be the first employee of Miami-Dade’s County’s detention system lost to the virus. Jairo Bravo, 48, worked at TGK for less than a year.
