Kamal Lohani, journalist

Kamal Lohani ‑ a Bangladeshi journalist – succumbed to Covid-19 on 20 June 2020. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He served as the Director General of Shilpakala Academy from April 2009 until April 2011. Lohani got his first job as journalist in the Daily Millat in 1955. He joined as a secretary at Chhayanaut, a cultural organization, in 1962. He formed a left cultural organization - Kranti in 1967. In 1960, Lohani married Syeda Dipti Rani (died 2007). She was his fellow political party member. Together they had two daughters and a son.

Mufti Muhammad Naeem ‑ a Pakistani cleric and Islamic scholar who served as Chancellor of Jamia Binoria – passed away on 20 June 2020 due to Covid-19 complications. His paternal family came from Surat in Indian Gujarat. His grandfather was born a Parsi who adopted Islam. Naeem was born in 1958. He co-founded the Deobandi seminary Jamia Binoria. He was executive member of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan. He died in Karachi on 20 June 2020 because of a heart attack. However Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah revealed in a speech at Sindh Assembly that Mufti Naeem, Talib Jauhri and Munawar Hasan, all the three clerics died past week were due to Covid-19. Mikhail Vasilyevich Ignatyev ‑ a Chuvash politician who served as the Head of the Chuvash Republic, a position that was known as the President of the Chuvash Republic until 2011 – died of Covid-19 on 18 June 2020. On 29 January 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Ignatyev and replaced him with Oleg Nikolayev as acting head. This followed a series of scandals in which Ignatyev reportedly humiliated an emergency service worker by dangling keys to a fire truck above them, forcing them to jump to retrieve them, and calling for journalists in the republic to be "wiped out".

KP Sunil, who worked as a driver in the Excise Department, died of Covid infection on June 18, 2020 morning at Kannur government Medical College in Kerala. The 28-year-old was admitted with pneumonia and was put on ventilator support for the last three days. He later passed away after he tested positive for coronavirus. Daniel Foster aka "the Big Dawg" and "Top Dawg" was an American radio personality based in Nigeria. He died due to complications from Covid-19 on June 17, 2020 Formerly an Idol series judge  he also held a similar position with the Got Talent franchise. Foster was brought up with his three siblings in Washington, D.C. by their father - their mother had died when he was ten - but was partly raised in Baltimore by his grandmother.
