Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) group president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Ahmad Zaini Othman 64, has passed away after battling with Covid-19 complications. Ahmad Zaini took his last breath early this morning at 1:46am at KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital. Ahmad carried four decades of banking experience and was appointed to helm MBSB (financial holding company of MBSB Bank Bhd) on February 26 2009. Datuk Nor Azam M Taib, currently the deputy CEO, would be the acting president and CEO. Siti Sarah Raisuddin, Singer

Siti Sarah Raisuddin, a popular singer in Malaysia, died of COVID-19 on Monday after giving birth to her fourth child. The 36-year-old singer had been eight months pregnant and was experiencing low oxygen levels during her bout with coronavirus. Doctors in Malaysia put her into an induced coma on August 6 so her baby could be delivered safely via a three-hour surgery, according to The Straits Times. The baby boy was successfully delivered, but Siti Sarah did not survive.
