Intisar Al Sharrah, one of Kuwait’s foremost actresses in television and theatre, has died aged 59. Reports said that Al Sharrah died on Saturday in London, after travelling to the UK capital in July to seek medical treatment. From past two years, she was suffering from stomach and kidney problems. She was admitted to the intensive care unit of Kuwait's Al Amiri Hospital in November following surgery to remove stomach ulcers. Al Sharrah’s death was announced by Kuwait's Ministry of Information. Linda Mendez My mom was admitted into the hospital on June 22nd. She was intubated the following day. My sister called the hospital to see how my mom was doing. My sister called me at work to advise that my mom tested positive for Covid 19, she was put in an induced coma, and on a ventilator. My heart tanked. An Indian-origin cardiac surgeon who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus has died at a hospital in Cardiff in the UK, where a number of medics have lost their lives on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic.
