Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran ‑ a Bangladeshi politician and the first elected mayor of Sylhet city corporation – succumbed to Covid-19 on 15 June 2020. He was elected twice as mayor of Sylhet City. In 2013, he lost to Arif by nearly 3,000 votes. He was also a member on the standing Committee of Awami League. Kamran was born on 1 January 1951. He was elected ward commissioner of Sylhet in 1973, when he was still a high school student. Kamran was elected Chairman of Sylhet municipality board in 1995. From 1989 to 2002, he served as the General Secretary of Sylhet city unit of Awami League. Amad Uddin, who was working as PRO with Dubai's Al Rais Group, passed away on June 5 after suffering from Covid-19 in the United Arab Emirates.Hailing from Khas Dir in Pakistan, this University of Karachi alumni was admitted to a hospital in Dubai after being diagonsed with coronavirus. Mian Jamshed ud Din ‑ a Pakistani politician hailing from Nowshera District and belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf – succumbed to Covid-19 on 3 June 2020. He served as the Minister for Excise & Taxation in the 10th Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. On 3 June 2020 Kakakhel died from COVID-19. According to media reports, Jamshed Ud din, 65, had been undergoing treatment for several days and was on a ventilator at the Kalsoom Hospital in Islamabad.
