Cielo Jaochico, Marcelo’s daughter, confirmed her father’s death. According to her, they received Marcelo’s COVID-19 test on the day of his death. "He experienced loss of appetite, fatigue, diarrhea, and shortness of breath. He was home quarantined. He underwent CBS test and the results are normal.
