Dr Jacob Plange-Rhule, physician
Jacob Plange-Rhule –a Ghanaian physician, academic, and Rector of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons – died on 10 April 2020 due to Covid-19.
At the time of his death, Plange-Rhule was the Head of the Department of Physiology of the School of Medical Sciences in Kumasi, Ghana.
He was also a consulting physician at the Department of Medicine of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, where he founded the Hypertension and Renal Clinic and headed it for more than two decades.
Plange-Rhule was born on 27 July 1957, in Winneba, Central Region, Ghana. He had his secondary education at the Accra Academy where he completed in 1976 prior to entering the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
