Tapan Ghosh, the former RSS leader who had tested positive for COVID-19, died at a hospital on July 12, 2020. Tapan Ghosh, 67, was the founder of Hindu Samhati group. He was admitted to a private hospital a week before after he tested positive for COVID-19. "Tapan-da passed away this evening. He is survived by two sisters," Hindu Samhati president Debtanu Bhattacharya told PTI. Tapan Ghosh is the second politician in the state to die due to COVID-19. Last month, Trinamool Congress MLA died due to the contagion. Tamonash Ghosh, India’s Trinamool Congress legislator, passed away on June 24, 2020, due to Covi-19-related complications. Ghosh, who tested positive for COVID-19, was undergoing treatment at a private health facility in Kolkata. The 60-year-old three-time MLA is survived by wife and two daughters. Mr. Ghosh represented Falta Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. “Very, very sad.
