He was admitted to Park Hospital on June 12 due to a liver-related ailment and had tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25. David John Reed, 60, had been on California's death row since 2011 and was imprisoned at San Quentin State Prison where a COVID-19 outbreak is ongoing.
