Jaime Hernández Rodríguez – an OB-GYN at IMSS Hospital General de Zona No. 13, Matamoros, Tamaluipas, Mexico – passed away after suffering from COVID-19. It was reported on 22 May, 2020.
The Executive Committee of Section 10 of the National Union of Social Security Workers (SNTSS), whose general secretary is Pedro Luis Ramírez Perales, regretted the death of the doctor.
"We are in mourning. Matamoros doctor dies victim of covid-19 contingency. Today we are in a lot of pain, Dr. Hernández we are going to miss you, your family and the entire IMSS Tamaulipas mourn this loss."
