The doctor was head of boarding school and professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the U. of Guayaquil.
His friend the poet Marigloria Cornejo remembered him as a being committed to history and a special desire to serve. "You never stopped serving who knocked on your door and you always did it with affection and with a special smile," he said of the doctor who served in the public area.
