Giovanni José Coppiano Campoverde – a Radiology Technician, Clown at Hospital de niñosDr. Roberto Gilbert Elizalde, Guayaquil, Ecuador – passed away on April 5, 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Giovanni was 55 years old.

He studied at the Vicente Rocafuerte National School in Guayaquil. His passion for medicine led him to graduate as a medical radiology technologist and a graduate in imaging. It was Master in Management of Health Services. He worked since 1998, in the imaging area of ​​the Dr. Roberto Gilbert Elizalde Children's Hospital. 

His love for children not only led him to work at the children's hospital, but also made him a pioneer in children's entertainment, being a clown, creating shows like the Clown Copito, together with teenage dancers, called Copito and His Cheercopidance, sang and encouraged children at the hospital and at various family events and children's parties with the company he created, called Copito Music Eventos. 

The artist Martín Galarza " AU-D ", stated on Twitter; "I always say that eternal life is in the hearts of the people you came to with your kindness, talent and advice, so I have no doubt that Copito will live forever. I never knew a person more dedicated to the happiness of children , his children's show will remain tattooed in the hearts of those of us who were fortunate to enjoy his genius and dedication on stage "and he added; "He faced the pandemic and is another fallen soldier.
