Ahmet Cevdet Citoglu, Ophtalmologist

Ahmet Cevdet Citoglu – an Ophtalmologist in Bodrum, Muğla, Turkey – passed away on 19 April, 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Ahmet was 67 years old.

One of the founders of the Specialization Exam in Medicine Training Center (TUSEM), an ophthalmology specialist living in Bodrum, Muğla. Dr. Ahmet CevdetCitoglu applied to the hospital with complaints of cough and high fever in Istanbul where he went to the meeting on April 3. In the tests carried out, it was revealed that Çitoğlu caught the coronavirus. Çitoğlu was later transferred to Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where his son, cardiovascular surgeon Görkem Çitoğlu worked.
