Lino Manuel Chávez Arteaga – an Anaesthesiologist at IMSS Hospital General de Zona No. 20 La Margarita, Puebla, Mexico – passed away on 12 May 2020 due to COVID-19.
Lino, who died of complications in the respiratory and cardiovascular tracts that ultimately caused his death. The doctor was treated at the Manuel Ávila Camacho Hospital, known as IMSS San José.
The death of the doctor occurred between protests and complaints from Social Security staff, who revealed that the material and supplies distributed by the institute are of poor quality and does not serve to prevent infections by Covid.
