Doctors, nurses and technicians paid tribute to the employee of a health unit in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, who died after showing symptoms of the new coronavirus (Covid-19). The round of applause for the nursing technician Luiz Eduardo Ayres Ramos, 49, was published on social networks and touched internet users.
Samuel says he was a colleague of the nursing technician at the Santos Central Emergency Unit (UPA). "He was doing well in the last week, but he started to complain about pain and malaise. As usual, they collected his samples, but soon he had to be admitted to the Hospital Guilherme Álvaro".
"His condition worsened and, after two or three days in the ICU, he died on Friday. I was at home and, at about 13:30, I heard about his death. I was very upset, I was emotional It was a lot of crying on that day ", says the rescuer.
"We didn't think it would have this repercussion. It was something very deserved, he was a wonderful, extraordinary and caring person. Whenever I met him on duty, he hugged me, he insisted on talking to me, everyone is upset", he concludes.
