África Lorente Castillo was a Moroccan-born Spanish politician and activist died of COVID-19 on 1 May 2020 in Castelldefels, aged 65 She was born in Tangier, Morocco, then Spanish protectorate. She was a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. She was a member of the Catalan Parliament from 1984 to 1988. From 1987 to 2003, she was Deputy Mayor of Castelldefels.

Yu Lihua was born in Shanghai and went to university in Taiwan, taking history at National Taiwan University. Then she went to the United States to do a graduate degree in journalism at UCLA and then to teach Chinese literature in the Department of Comparative University at the State University of New York. He was serving as a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, representing Nasarawa Central constituency, at the time of his death due to COVID-19 in April 2020. Adamu was buried on May 1 in his hometown, Nasarawa. His test results, which were not completed until after he died, confirmed COVID-19.
