Miriam CantĂș de Llanes, Paramedic

Miriam CantĂș de Llanes – a Paramedic, Radio Operator, 6th year Med Student at Red Cross, Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico – passed away on 11 May 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. During the last days Miriam CantĂș had fought against the Covid-19 hospitalized in the General Hospital of Zone Number 7 of the IMSS of Monclova, but unfortunately she could not win the battle. For a long time Miriam CantĂș served the community as a lifeguard for the Mexican Red Cross, mainly as a radio operator. In his honor, colleagues from the red cross made their last roll call and when they heard his name they all shouted in a single vox “Present”.
