She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on a reserved seat for women in 2018 Pakistani general election and hailed from Gujranwala. Raza died in Lahore from COVID-19 on 20 May 2020. Reportedly, she caught the virus while visiting a field hospital for coronavirus treatment in Gujranwala. She was 60 years old at the time of her death and suffered from diabetes and blood pressure issues.
