Herman "HG" Carrillo ‑ an American writer and Assistant Professor of English at George Washington University in Washington, DC – contracted Covid-19 and died on April 20, 2020. In the 1990s, he began writing as "H. G. Carrillo", and he eventually adopted that identity in his private life as well, claiming to have been a Cuban immigrant who had left Cuba with his family at the age of 7. Carrillo wrote frequently about the Cuban immigrant experience in the United States, including in his only novel, Loosing My Espanish (2004). Tom Mulholland ‑ a Gaelic footballer who played senior football for Kilkerley Emmets, Louth and Leinster – died from Covid-19 on 20 April 2020. He was also honorary president of the Kilkerley Emmets club. Mulholland lived in the village of Kilkerley, near Dundalk, where he was a dairy farmer. He had six sisters and one brother. He was married in 1968 and had eight children. Some of his children played football and camogie at various levels. Mulholland pursued his involvement in athletics until he was in his seventies. After an outbreak of COVID-19 at Dealgan House Nursing Home (where he resided), Mulholland was admitted to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he died on 20 April 2020.

A graduate of the École des beaux-arts de Montréal, Lafortune collaborated on many graphic design projects before he became famous for his paper art. He had an exhibit devoted to his paper art work—titled Colle, papier, ciseaux—at the Musée des cultures du monde in Nicolet, Quebec. The exhibition has traveled to Longueuil, Montreal, Terrebonne, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Lachine, Chicoutimi, Bonaventure, La Malbaie and New Brunswick.

During her education at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts, she became the leading actor, playing Anne Frank, in The Diary of Anne Frank at Toneelgroep Theater. After she graduated, she continued working with the theater company from Arnhem for five more years. Later Crefcoeur worked for, among others, Nieuw Rotterdams Toneel, Ro Theater, and theater group Bonheur. She was the leading actor in the theater series The Family by Lodewijk de Boer and also in the 1973 film The Family. In the nineties she gave lessons at Jeugdtheater Hofplein in Rotterdam.
