KP Sunil, who worked as a driver in the Excise Department, died of Covid infection on June 18, 2020 morning at Kannur government Medical College in Kerala.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old was admitted with pneumonia and was put on ventilator support for the last three days. He later passed away after he tested positive for coronavirus. So far, 21 people have died of coronavirus in Kerala.<\/p>\n

According to health officials in Kannur, the deceased had worked as a driver in the Excise Office in Mattannur circle till June 12 and was admitted to a private hospital the same day and later shifted to the medical College on June 14.<\/p>\n

According to excise officials, the man was accompanying an accused who was taken into custody on June 3 and produced him for medical examination at the district hospital and visited a quarantine centre in Thottada.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo far we could not identify the source of his infection,\u201d a medical official revealed.<\/p>\n
