Marielle De Bruhl – a Nurse at Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden- passed away after suffering from COVID-19. It was reported on 29 April, 2020. Marielle was 39 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Marielle DeBruhl previously worked as a hairdresser but chose a few years ago to retrain and educate as a nurse.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

After the coronavirus outbreak in Sweden, she cared for infected patients at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

She thought life was great now. She was a charming person who loved her job, her colleagues and really felt that she could contribute and do something important for others, says her friend Margareta Hedin.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Last week she tested positive for covid-19 and after a rapid illness she passed away in her home at 39 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Ewa Börjesson, Head of Operations at Tema Inflammation and Infection at Karolinska University Hospital, has previously commented on the death: “It is with sadness we can confirm that a nurse employee at Karolinska University Hospital who was covid-positive has died. We provide a valued and skilled colleague and our thoughts go to the nurse's relatives. The nurse was on sick leave for her covid-19 symptoms and died at home.<\/em>"<\/p>\r\n\r\n
