Bishop Bruce Edward Davis \u2013 a Shift Leader at Central State Hospital Forensics, Milledgeville, Georgia \u2013 passed away after suffering from COVID-19. It was reported on 13 April, 2020. Davis was 57 years old.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was just one of those people who loved people, because he was a Godly man,\u201d said Milledgeville Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan. \u201cWhat you saw with Bishop Davis was the kind of man he actually was in our community \u2014 always willing to help someone out in any way that he could and to offer them encouragement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The mayor said \u201cI was devastatingly shocked to hear when I heard,\u201d Parham-Copelan told The Union-Recorder during a telephone interview Monday afternoon. \u201cI had just seen him and at Walgreens on North Columbia Street about three weeks ago and he hollowed at me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was one of the most friendliest, caring persons you would ever meet,\u201d Parham-Copelan said of Davis. \u201cHe always had a kind word for you and always tried to encourage you through the word of God every time you saw him and talked with him.\u201d<\/p>\n
