Glenn Barquet – a Physician and an Invasive Cardiologist at Mercy Hospital and South Miami Hospital, Miami, Florida – passed away on 2 May,2020, due to COVID-19. Glenn was 50 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Glenn J. Barquet, MD, spent two decades practicing cardiology and interventional cardiology at Mercy Hospital in Miami. A report from CBS Miami detailed the deep impact he made on the lives of countless colleagues and patients.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

“Dr Barquet is deeply embedded in the Mercy Hospital family and will always be an important part of our history,” read a statement from Mercy Hospital. “Dr. Barquet chose to build his first practice with us almost 20 years ago after watching his father (Dr. Javier Barquet) practice at Mercy for more than 40 years.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Barquet was not specifically treating COVID-19 patients when he was fell ill.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
