Earl Bailey – a Registered Nurse in Broward County, Florida – passed away on 5 April 2020 due to COVID-19. Earl was 56 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Earl Bailey worked for a staffing company, Tenet Resource Agency, assigned to shifts at multiple hospitals, mostly Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes, according to his family.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Sashia Bailey, of Pompano Beach, said her father got sick about two weeks ago “and they told him to go home and quarantine.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

“I’m upset he was told to go home and self-quarantine and return if you feel worse. Not everyone has that opportunity to return,” she said. “We don’t know where my dad caught it from.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Bailey died on April 5 morning at his Sunrise home, almost immediately after “his breathing went bad," his daughter said. "He died right after, before the ambulance could even be called.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

According to Broward’s Medical Examiner’s Office, Bailey went into cardiac arrest at home after being quarantined over testing positive for the virus.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

“My father was very strong and felt he could beat it," she said. "He was very healthy, he worked out every day, even at Florida Medical Center, he would round up the nurses and go exercise.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n
