Michael Allieu – an Acute Care Nurse at Homerton University Hospital, London, England – passed away due to COVID-19. It was reported on April 20, 2020. Michael was 53 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Michael had worked as a staff nurse since 2007 and was a key member of the team in the Acute Care unit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He had been in the hospital suffering from coronavirus for several days.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust paid tribute to Michael as a “member of the Homerton family”. Ms Fletcher praised "vibrant" Michael, who was "well known and very well liked throughout the hospital".<\/p>\r\n\r\n

She said: "He will be greatly missed by all his colleagues both in the ACU and the wider Homerton Hospital community.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

"Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this sad time."<\/p>\r\n\r\n
