He was the organizer of the Liberation War of Bangladesh.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Sirajul Islam was born in 1943 in Barlekha Upazila of Moulvibazar District.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Sirajul Islam was elected to parliament from Undivided Sylhet-12(present Maulvibazar-1) as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 1973 and 1979.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Sirajul Islam died on 4 April,2020, undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Elmhurst Hospital Center in &nbsp;Queens, New York City.<\/p>\r\n<\/p><p><\/p>\n \n \n<p><a href=\"\"><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Md.
