Liu Zhiming, director of Wuhan Wuchang Hospital, died of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, on Tuesday morning, Feb. 18, The Associated Press citing the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission reported.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n

A notice from the commission said Liu took part in the battle against the deadly virus from the start and made “important contributions in the work of fighting and controlling novel coronavirus.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n

During that process, “unfortunately he became infected and passed away at 10:54 Tuesday morning at the age of 51 after all-out efforts to save him failed,” the notice said.<\/p>\r\n<\/p>
