His test results, which were not completed until after he died, confirmed COVID-19.\r<\/p><p>\r<\/p><p>Adamu was the first recorded fatality from coronavirus disease 2019 in Nasarawa State during the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.\r<\/p><p>\r<\/p><p>In response to his death, the state government closed the Nasarawa State House of Assembly building for decontamination and imposed a lockdown on Suleiman Adamu&#8217;s hometown of Nasarawa to slow the spread of COVID-19.\r<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p>\n \n \n<p><a href=\"\"><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suleiman Adamu, a Nigerian politician, died from COVID-19 at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, on April 30, 2020.
