Tchouamo Michel – an Otorhinolaryngologist in Douala, Cameroon – passed away on 3 April 2020 after suffering from COVID-19. Michel was 50 years old.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

According to reports from medical sources, Dr. Tchouamo Michel suffered from stage 4 of the deadly disease.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He is reported to have been in dire need of respiratory assistance , but was unable to be admitted to a hospital owing to the overwhelming numbers of COVID-19 patients in hospitals.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The  Public health Minister, Dr. ManaoudaMalachie honored his memory following his death.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

” I will like to recognize in him a relentless professional who worked tirelessly to ensure that patients and citizens can have healthy lives”.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
