G. Narendra Yadav, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) secretary, succumbed to COVID-19 infection at a private hospital in Hyderabad, India, on July 13. He is the second party leader to die of COVID-19 in the state. Yogender Yadav, a 40-year-old Delhi Police constable who was undergoing treatment for liver related complications at a hospital in New Delhi passed away on July 7, 2020, 12 days after testing positive for COVID-19. Constable Yogender Yadav was posted at Paschim Vihar West Police Station and passed away on Tuesday, news agency PTI quoted a senior officer as saying. He was admitted to Park Hospital on June 12 due to a liver-related ailment and had tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25. He hailed from Balaha Kalan village in Mahendergarh district of Haryana and lived with his family in police colony, Paschim Vihar, the officer said. Mahender Yadav -- a former MLA serving jail sentence in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case died due to COVID-19 at a hospital in the Indian state of Delhi, officials reportedly said on July 5, 2020. He was the second inmate of Mandoli prison to have succumbed to the infection, news agency PTI quoted officials as saying. Yadav, 70, was a former MLA from Palam constituency. He was lodged in Jail no. 14 of Mandoli prison, where he was undergoing a sentence of 10 years, and had been hospitalised on June 26, they said.   Sanjeev Kumar Yadav ‑ a 49-year-old inspector of Delhi Police who was posted with special cell ‑ died at South Delhi’s Max hospital the night of June 30, 2020, due to COVID-19.  “Sanjeev Kumar Yadav had been admitted to Max Hospital after testing positive around 15 days ago. He developed fever and was on ventilator after complaining of breathlessness,” a senior police officer said. Yadav was posted with the south-western range of special cell and received the Police Medal for gallantry this year. He was earlier posted with Crime Branch and Tughlaq Road police station.
