Ceybil Jefferies ‑ also known by the stage name Sweet Sable ‑ died from COVID-19 in April 2020.   She was an American house and R&B vocalist best known for her work during the 1990s, including the 1996 Dutch house single, "It's Gonna Be Alright" with Deep Zone, which hit No. 20 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.   Her other best known singles include "So Special" and "Open Your Heart", both of which reached the top 20 of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in 1991. Alan Merrill ‑ an American vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, actor and model – passed away on March 29, 2020 after contracting Covid-19.   In the early 1970s, Merrill was the first Westerner to achieve pop star status in Japan. He was the writer of, and lead singer on, the first released version of the song "I Love Rock 'n' Roll", which was recorded by the Arrows in 1975.
