Suresh Jadhav ‑ an Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Mumbai Police ‑ passed away on July 11, 2020, of coronavirus disease. Mumbai Police, in a tweet from its official handle on the microblogging social media website, informed of the unfortunate demise of the police officer and mentioned that Suresh Yadav was from the DN Nagar Traffic division. "Mumbai Police regrets to inform about the unfortunate demise of ASI Suresh Ishwar Jadhav from D.N. Nagar Traffic Division. Shri. Jadhav was battling Coronavirus. We pray for his soul to rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family," the Mumbai Police informed in a tweet.

Suresh Amonkar, former Goa health minister, died of COVID-19 infection on July 6, 2020. He was 68. “Amonkar remained admitted in the ESI hospital (in Margao) after testing positive for coronavirus since the last week of June. He succumbed to the infection on Monday (July 6, 2020) evening,” the official said, adding that Amonkar had been critical since the last few days.
