Pierre Lumbi Okongo ‑ a politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo – passed away on 14 June 2020 after contracting Covid-19 in Kinshasa. Lumbi was one of the founders of the Peasant Solidarity (Solidarité Paysanne) movement, which gained legal status in 1985.
