Gunnar Seijbold a Swedish freelance press photographer and musician died on 25 April 2020 after suffering from COVID-19. He had been ill for a month and spent the last week in hospital. During his career he worked for several newspapers, including Expressen, Dagens Nyheter, and Aftonbladet. He also worked in the capacity of photographer for the Swedish government and worked as the official European Union photographer. During his career, Seijbold met and photographed U.S. President Barack Obama. Seijbold was born and raised in Stockholm. His father, Olle Seijbold, was also a photographer who took photos of the Swedish extradition of Baltic soldiers in 1945. John Pfahl ‑ an American photographer – died on April 15, 2020, in Buffalo, New York, of COVID-19.   Pfahl was born in New York City and grew up in Wanaque, New Jersey. He is known for his landscape photography such as his 1974 "Altered Landscapes" series. He received a BFA from Syracuse University in the School of Art and his MA from Syracuse University in the School of Communications. He taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York, from 1968 to 1983. Later he was professor at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. In 2012 he taught at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.

Rifat Chadirji ‑ an Iraqi architect, photographer, author and activist – died on 10 April 2020 due to Covid-19.   He was often referred to as the father of modern Iraqi architecture, having designed more than 100 buildings across the nation.   Chadirji was born in Baghdad in 1926 into an influential family. Tomas Oneborg, photographer

Tomas Krister Oneborg ‑ a Swedish photographer – died from Covid-19 on 29 March 2020.   Oneborg was born in Hägersten outside Stockholm and was employed as a press photographer at Svenska Dagbladet from 1986 until his death. His photos of the aftermath of the 2017 Stockholm truck attack, which left five people dead, were awarded a second place prize at Photo of the Year.   Oneborg died at his home in Stockholm on 29 March 2020 from COVID-19.
