PK Muhammad, a Kannur Iritty native, died on June 10, 2020, after battling with coronavirus. He was under treatment for cancer. The 70-year-old was tested positive for COVID-19 on June 10 and shifted to the hospital. Following this, he breathed his last at the hospital. Muhammad returned from Muscat via Kannur airport on May 22. Though the health workers directed him to observe quarantine at the hospital, he refused to follow it and went to his son’s house at Koothuparamaba.
