Jacques Reymond ‑ a Swiss ski trainer – died from Covid-19 on 6 May 2020.   Reymond worked for many years as a trainer for the Swiss Ski Association Swiss-Ski. From 1979 to 1995 he acted as head coach and technical coach of the Swiss men's national team. He was also a condition trainer for the women's national team for several years. He also looked after Erika Hess in the women's national team.   After retiring from active skiing, he married Hess on 6 May 1988. The marriage gave birth to three sons; Marco, the youngest, drives races in the European Cup and World Cup. The two lived in Saint-Légier-La Chiésaz in Canton of Vaud. Jacques Rosny a French actor died on 18 April 2020 at the age of 81 in Nogent-sur-Marne due to COVID-19. Rosny married actress Annick Blancheteau in 1971, with whom he had two kids. In 1973, with Jean-Claude Houdinière and Loïc Vollard, Rosny purchased the Théâtre de l'Athénée. He left the theatre the following year.

Jacques Le Brun ‑ a French historian who specialized in the study of Christianity in the 17th century – died on 6 April 2020 after suffering from coronavirus. Le Brun's first works were related to Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet. He was Director of Honorary Studies at the École pratique des hautes études, and the Chair of History of Modern Catholicism at the school. In addition to his research, he also edited the works of François Fénelon. Jacques Le Brun died on 6 April 2020 at the age of 88 after contracting Covid-19.

Dr Jacques F. Acar ‑ known as expert of microbiology and infectious diseases in France and around the world ‑ passed away on 27 March,2020 at the age of 88 due to COVID-19. In 1966, Acar became head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Hôspital Saint-Joseph in Paris, staying there until 1999. At the same time, he was head of Medical Microbiology at the Hôpital Broussais. He was a professor of medical microbiology at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1973 until 1980, and was head of that department from 1980 to 2000. Acar was President of the World Health Organization's taskforce on antimicrobial resistance from 1992 to 1996.
