Donald Kennedy, scientist, public administrator, and academic

He served as Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (1977–79), President of Stanford University (1980–92), and Editor-in-Chief of Science (2000–08). Following this, he was named president emeritus of Stanford University; Bing Professor of Environmental Science and Policy, emeritus; and senior fellow of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Donald Kennedy was born on August 18, 1931 in New York City, the son of Barbara Bean and William Dorsey Kennedy. He attended Dublin School through high school and went on to attend Harvard University, where he received an A.B., M.S., and Ph.D. in Biology, in 1956. David Hodgkiss, administrator

David Michael William Hodgkiss ‑ a British administrator and chief executive officer, who was the chairman of Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC), a professional British cricket team, between April 2017 and March 2020 – died after contracting Covid-19 on 29 March 2020.   He had been chief executive of a steel fabrication company, William Hare Group, for which he was awarded an Order of the British Empire for his services to the manufacturing and exporting industry. Hodgkiss was awarded the OBE in June 2014.
