Pedro Di Marco – a Cardiologist at Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – passed away on 22 March 2020. Pedro was 65 years old.
He was hospitalized with the flu on Thursday (19) at Hospital São Vicente de Paulo, in Tijuca. Having other diseases, he was isolated and tested for Covid-19.
At Pedro Ernesto, the cardiologist came to occupy the functions of Director of Technical Services and Head of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Sector.
Hospital São Vicente de Paulo said it is awaiting the result of the Covid-19 exam, performed by Lacen-RJ. "It is only possible to state whether his death was motivated by the new coronavirus, after this report," said the hospital.
