Luigi Ciriotti – a General Practitioner (retired) in Italy – passed away on 26 March 2020, after suffering from COVID-19. Luigi was 86 years old.
First citizen from 1966 to 1973 and from 1993 to 2001, in the period of the 1994 flood he helped to save the books of Cesare Pavese and to transfer the Study Center and the library from the seat on the banks of the Belbo to the deconsecrated church of Saints James and Christopher, in the ancient heart of the country.
Its name is linked to the post-flood reconstruction. In fact, among other works, he undertook to rebuild the schools, the bridge over the Belbo, and the multifunctional center where the associations are based. Luigi Ciriotti was simply an extraordinary man.
