Noloyiso Sandile ‑ a local queen in South Africa died due to COVID-19 on July 8, 2020. She was 56. Sandile had been admitted at a hospital for COVID-19 related complications, according to the State broadcaster SABC. The deceased is a sister to the current Zulu monarch, King Goodwill Zwelithini. David John Reed ‑ a death-row inmate who was convicted in Riverside County of first-degree murder ‑ died from apparent coronavirus complications on July 7, 2020. David John Reed, 60, had been on California's death row since 2011 and was imprisoned at San Quentin State Prison where a COVID-19 outbreak is ongoing.
