Francesc Collado – a Family Physician in Barcelona, Spain – passed away on 18 March 2020 after suffering from COVID-19. Collado was 63 years old. The deceased, who was spending his private practice in the Sants neighborhood, also worked in the palliative care unit of the Hospital de Barcelona for mutual health care and did not suffer from a previous pathology , his son explained. Jesús Vaquero Crespo, neurosurgeon

Jesús Vaquero Crespo ‑ a Spanish neurosurgeon ‑ died on 17 April 2020 due to COVID-19. He was a pioneer on the treatment of medullary injuries. Born in Madrid in 1950, he became chief of Neurosurgery of the Hospital Puerta de Hierro in 1992. He was also full professor of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and also held the Chair of Neuroscience of the Rafael del Pino Foundation.
