Shivaji Mishra, an English teacher at a government school in Kalyan Niwas, died of Covid-19 on June 7, 2020.
Mishra, 48, was also working at a food distribution centre.
His son Piyush Mishra said that his father developed symptoms of Covid-19 around June 1.
“On June 2 his condition worsened and we took him to a private hospital in Mandoli. He tested positive for Covid last Thursday, following which the hospital asked us to shift him to a Covid designated hospital. We shifted him to Safdurjaung hospital on Friday, where he was shifted to ICU. He succumbed on Sunday (June 7, 2020),” he said.

Aslam Baba -- a self-styled godman in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam who reportedly “kissed” the hands of devotees to “cure” them of Covid-19– died on June 4, 2020 from its infection.
Reports suggest that he not only ended his own life but also allegedly infected some others.
Aslam Baba had tested positive for the novel coronavirus on 3 June, and died a day later, reported The Print.
Ratlam Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Tiwari reportedly said over 50 people were contact-traced after the godman’s death and put under quarantine.
Nearly 150 people in the Nayapura region, where Aslam Baba resided, were also quarantined. They are currently being screened and the area has been declared a containment zone, the report pointed out.

Charan Jeet Singh, a resident of Lajpat Nagar and a businessman, died on May 23 after suffering from Covid-19.
“My husband didn’t step out of the house when the lockdown started, but I went out daily because of my job… I will never be able to forgive myself,” Assistant Commissioner of Delhi Police Surender Jeet Kaur, a day after her husband Charan Jeet Singh, 54, succumbed to Covid at a hospital in Delhi.
