Domingo "Menggie" Cobarrubias –a Filipino actor who appeared in approximately 200 television shows and films – died on March 26, 2020 from Covid-19.   Cobarrubias received a Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1979 film Jaguar. He also won the Best Actor award in the 2014 QCinema International Film Festival for his performance in Mauban: Ang Resiko.   Cobarrubias died on March 26, 2020 from complications of pneumonia. He was 66. Before his death, a coronavirus disease 2019 test was administered. On April 1, 2020, five days after his death, his test came back positive for the disease.

Ito Curata –a Filipino fashion designer who specialized in conceptualizing bridal gowns and Filipiniana clothing – succumbed to Covid-19 on 26 March 2020.   Among his notable clients were Hollywood actress Sharon Stone, former Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and Filipino actress Bea Alonzo.   Curata died on March 26, 2020 due to pneumonia, a complication from COVID-19 infection. He and his partner Miller were admitted to a hospital due to COVID-19 symptoms.   Curata adopted a son with Miller in 2006.

Aileen San Pablo Baviera ‑ a Filipino political scientist and sinologist ‑ died of pneumonia caused by the COVID-19 at the San Lazaro Hospital, Manila.   She contracted the disease on March 12, when she returned after participating in a security conference in Paris, France. She was one of two Filipino delegates - the other being Dr. Alan T.
